Pollination in fruit trees

Outdoor crops

Our outdoor hives have been specially developed for the pollination of open-field crops. These hives provide the bumblebee colonies with extra protection against rain and fluctuating temperatures. Bumblebees can be used in almost all open field crops requiring pollination, such as: stone fruits (cherries, plums, apricots); pip fruits (apples, pears, kiwis); soft fruits (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries); cucurbits (water-melons, pumpkins, etc.) and seed crops (hybrid rapeseed, etc.).

Natupol Booster (Europe)

Natupol Booster contains a large colony of bumblebees. Extra ventilation makes the colony less susceptible for condensation or extreme heat. Koppert is in the process of gaining exclusive intellectual property protection for the package design of Natupol Booster. Natupol Booster can be brought into use before blossoming the crop starts to flower and offers a pollination period of up to four weeks.

Tripol
(Europe and Northern Africa)

Tripol contains three bumblebee colonies. Depending on the season, Tripol is equipped with extra insulation or extra ventilation. Each colony has a Beehome door, which allows you to keep the bumblebees inside the hive upon their return until you reopen the door. After closing the hive in this way, any necessary crop protection measures can be taken, or the hive can be moved to a new location for the pollination of different crop. Tripol can be introduced before the crop flowers and offers a pollination period of at least four weeks.

Quad (United States, Canada and Mexico)

Quad contains four bumblebee colonies. Each colony has a Beehome door, which allows you to keep the bumblebees inside the hive upon their return until you reopen the door. After closing the hive in this way, any necessary crop protection measures can be taken, or the hive can be moved to a new location for the pollination of a different crop. Quad can be introduced before the crop flowers and offers a pollination period of at least four weeks.
